5th Annual Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes

The Steamboat Springs Parade of Homes will be Saturday, August 6th from 10 AM to 4 PM. Six residences are on tour in the Steamboat Springs area. Event proceeds go to the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation benefitting non-profits in the Yampa Valley. Tickets go on sale Monday, August 1st at 509 Lincoln Avenue in downtown Steamboat.

This family friendly event is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn more about our local ranching and agriculture. A partnership between Community Agriculture Alliance, Steamboat Pro Rodeo Series and the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp the Ranch Rendezvous demonstrates the interaction and interdependence between area agriculture, the ski industry and local businesses. Mainstreet Steamboat Springs manager seeks Yampa Street focus

With the project to repave Lincoln Avenue complete, Mainstreet Steamboat Springs Manager Tracy Barnett said she thinks the city should turn its attention to redeveloping Yampa Street as an entertainment district.During an update about the organization that promotes downtown, Barnett told the Steamboat Springs City Council that in spite of a lack of funds, planning should begin immediately to continue development that already has taken place on Yampa Street.Barnett said the community needed to define a vision for Yampa, whether it was a pedestrian-only entertainment district on weekends or something else. She said Tuesday that a good place to start would be the streetscape design guidelines the city paid Britina Design Group $439,000 in May 2007 to create.…
