Sold property statistics, June through August 2010

The following statistics were gathered from the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors MLS Data, on properties sold June through August of 2010. 

Are properties selling for their asking price?   

• Together, all sold properties averaged a sale price of 87% of asking price
• 60% of the properties sold, closed at 90% to 100% of the asking price
• 32% of the properties sold, closed at 75% to 89% of the asking price
• 8% of the properties sold (only 8), closed at a price which was less than 75% of the asking price

How does the asking price to sold price compare for property types?

• Condos and townhomes sold for 90% of the asking price
• Single family homes sold for 84% of the asking price
• Land and lots sold for 76% of the asking price
