Growing up in Northern Wisconsin at a boys camp, I experienced a wonderful outdoor life. Those outdoor experiences led me to settle down in Colorado. After graduating from Lake Superior State in Sault Ste Marie Michigan, I settled in Vail Colorado where I had spent a few summers during college.
In Vail I gained career experience in many facets mostly centered around the resort business, of course. My main fascination was absorbing all the biking, hiking, and skiing that I could. My husband, Tom and I met and married in Vail and ended up enjoying all its attributes for more than 10 years. After building what was close to our dream home, Tom was offered a job in Northern Virginia just outside of Washington DC in 1991. Believe it or not we went for it.
We quickly found ourselves back in Steamboat Springs in December of 1992. The one great thing that came from our year in Virginia was the birth of our son, Scott. I was fortunate at that time to become a full-time Mom and expose Scott to all the wonderful activities there are for kids in Steamboat. I eventually returned to part-time retail sales.
I thrived in sales and committed to take it to a different level by obtaining my real estate brokers license in the fall of 1996. In the spring of 1997 I joined Colorado Group Realty where I continue to enjoy many wonderful successes. My husband and I are also owners of Pilot Office Supply, a local supply store which was founded in Steamboat more than 40 years ago.
Having a real estate career, being active in the community, being consultant/moral support for our business and trying to catch my 12-year-old son and Junior Olympian on the slopes keeps me going every day of the week. I wouldn't change a thing!!!!
