I grew up in the real estate business. My grandfather was a real estate developer and investor, my father was a financial controller and a home builder, and my mother was a property manager; so, I guess you could say this business is really in my blood and it's very personal to me. It’s part of my life even beyond a career. Real estate in the Yampa Valley and Steamboat is about lifestyle enhancement and dreams. I know that more than anybody. Whether the goal is in finding the perfect first, second, or third home, investment property, or ranch land to develop, I can help by drawing on my lifetime of real estate knowledge.
I got my professional start in resort advertising and sales. After living in Park City, Utah, for 10 years, I decided to make Steamboat my home.
Like most Steamboat residents, I understand what a great privilege it is to live in such a fantastic place. When you come to Steamboat you fall in love with the people, the lifestyle, the scenery, and the mountain way of life. Steamboat has been coined as one of the last great places in the West, and I believe it. The tangible value of real estate in Steamboat gives buyers hope for the future. I cherish working with buyers and sellers on all levels who have a conviction and emotional commitment to this community - this way of life.
My career expertise is in real estate, marketing, and advertising. I draw on these areas when working for my clients and in consulting on real estate purchases and sales.
I've led teams of sales people as a Director of Sales for five star destination resorts and six star cruise lines. And now, I've taken my knowledge of the tourism industry and coupled it with what I know best, real estate. And really, there's no better place to combine these areas than in Steamboat Springs. My buyers & sellers demand the best and that's one of the most exciting aspects of my career - that and fulfilling dreams. Excellence in preparation, execution and follow-through are my strengths.
Among my life interests, I am an avid competitor in short and long distance triathlons and am currently ranked in the top 5% by the governing body of the sport, USA Triathlon. I sit on the Board of Directors for USA Triathlon and am the Founder of the Steamboat Triathlon, held in August each year. I am also dedicated to protecting kids – I am a certified Guardian ad Litem for the state of Florida, the championing force for abused and abandoned children. Always on the go, I can be found in the Colorado Group Realty downtown office, spending time with my husband, Ken Otterman, or outside enjoying any one of the many athletic pursuits Steamboat Springs has to offer.
